Values

Welcome to the CEPC

Thank you for your interest in the Canadian Equal Parenting Council. With the founding of the Canadian Equal Parenting Council (CEPC), years worth of efforts by many organizations on behalf of thousands of parents and children are being realized.

The primary mission of this organization, and the movement it represents, is to secure every child’s right to be equally parented when the relationship between the father and the mother breaks down.

Once our primary aim is reached, will see the benefits of this extended to our society as a whole through attention to equality in our homes, workplaces and other societal issues we all face.

Parent rights:

Family rights are parents’ rights. We aim to ensure governments and agencies treat both parents with equality and respect. Kids need both parents, especially after separation or divorce. Parents must be able to raise their children without government intervention, unless government and their agents meet a high and consistent standard of evidence. Parents and children going through a divorce are vulnerable and must not be exploited by legal or other professionals. Outcomes must be that both parents are kept in the lives of their children in the vast majority of cases, and legal, social and other systems must be reformed to achieve these outcomes. Equal parenting is a collection of best practices from around the world, including legislation on custody, which achieves these outcomes.
